The Digital Agenda Assembly 2012 (DAA12) held on the 22nd & 23rd of June in Brussels was attended by 1.150 persons while 4.000 followed through live webstream and more than 1.000 contributed actively through social media. This was the culmination of 8 weeks of effort made by the Digital Sunrise EU. A loosely grouped set of interested persons from across Europe  participated in adding to the cause. Adding to an Agenda to bring a change to the use of digital media, here specifically social media to people and companies across the European Union.
This video while seen after the fact represents how, when people are set free to exchange their ideas and to work together with others that wonderful things can come from it. The openness of information and the people working with it was shown this month in Brussels.
I am proud to have been a part of this. #dseu #da12social
“RADICAL OPENNESS” – for TEDGlobal 2012 by @Jason_Silva from Jason Silva on Vimeo.
This is an awesome video and a to the point comment on it. Andrew is perfectly right! As we all know (or should know): the mind is like a parachute – it only works when its open!
Thank you Olaf. I really like the parachute analogy. Letting it loose is the mode it is meant for.
WOW Very Cool! a very powerful message, thank you Andrew. I really like Olaf’s analogy of the Parachute too
Bringing social media into it, if an idea was Beethoven then would social media be the piano?, the technology that was produced by radical openness now its biggest propeller?
lots to think about, such a beautiful thing, the mind 😉
Billy, the mind is a wonderful thing and when it gets a chance to connect with others, it can indeed beautiful.
